Anxiety depression is a mental illness that can be devastating to someone's life. Millions are affected with this mood disorder on a daily basis. With anxiety depression a person is in a constant state of fear and anxiety. The fear and anxiety levels of a person can become chronically worse if left untreated. With the proper treatment, a person can overcome this debilitating disorder but knowing which type of anxiety depression someone has is the key to proper treatment.
One form of anxiety depression that affects roughly 2.4 million adults every day is the panic disorder. A panic disorder is when an individual experiences feelings of terror that attack suddenly and repeatedly with no warning. A person can experience physical sensations such as an increased heart rate and the body may break out into a sweat. A panic disorder is one of the most treatable forms of anxiety that a person can have. With the right medications and planned psychotherapy, an individual can lead a normal life without the fear of having a panic attack.
Obsessive compulsive disorder is also another form of anxiety depression that a person can experience. Obsessive compulsive disorder or OCD consist of having disturbing thoughts or behaviors called obsessions and having certain rituals to avoid these obsessions are called compulsions. Most people do not take pleasure in performing the rituals; however, they do receive only temporary relief to the anxiety that will continue to grow when the rituals are not performed. OCD affects about 3.3 million adults, but with the right medications and carefully targeted psychotherapy, a person can deal with their disorder in a manageable sense.
Anxiety depression affects millions. No matter what type of depression a person may be suffering from, a form of treatment can help. Medical professionals are trained to help a person cope with the fear, compulsions, or anxieties that they may be experiencing. Because mental illnesses are looked at in a negative way, people who really need help may not reach out for it. However, if they realize what they are experiencing is an illness, then help is right around the corner.

Anxiety depression is a serious mental illness that affects millions of people everyday. People who experience an anxiety disorder have lives that are filled with overwhelming anxiety and fear. Brief anxiety can be caused by a stressful event such as doing business presentations, having a first date, or giving an important speech.
